Do you like hilariously bad 80s horror with awful dialogue? Do you like mullets and cheesy hair metal? Do you like rock and roll singers who use their demonic music to hypnotize their fans, persuading them to kill the town's adults?

You can tell what we're dealing with here. I found this movie mostly entertaining. If you're in the mood for funny horror with a rocking soundtrack, this is a perfect pick.

Low budget action horror about a grandfather and a group of ex-military mercenaries looking for missing children on government-controlled land. Raises interesting questions about how far we will go to accomplish certain goals and features an extremely effective horror villain. Settings are very believable, leading you to forget you are watching an independent film. Highly recommended.

Classic Stephen King adaptation. Lots of creepy scenes and creepy kids. The music is perfect, and while there are some plotholes, King's source material is strong enough that this still holds up well today.

This was actually pretty good. Very intense with enough of a story to keep me interested. We know Rebecca de Mornay can play "scary bitch" really well and she is on her game here. With a rather large amount of characters involved, I thought the character development was also done well.

Don't write this off as another lame remake.

I had high hopes for this as it stars Jeffrey Combs. Unfortunately, it's no "Reanimator". Early kills are actually pretty cool, but the storyline forces digital gore to take the place of good old make-up effects and come off looking cheesey... in a bad way. Equal parts "House on Haunted Hill" and "Waxwork," the story begins promisingly enough, but loses focus as the film progresses.

This is one of those shorts that is so well-made, you wish it were a feature-length film. The movie's premise aside, this just looks really good. While I typically don't seek out films like this (Satanic/cult/supernatural evil), it manages, in such a brief running time, to somewhat explore boundaries and be genuinely scary. I can definitely endorse that. Plus... it looks really good!

The negative reviews are out there, so I'm not here to pile on. I will say that Giovanni Pauletti is at least convincing as a sleazy fashion photographer using his fame to more easily rape women. And while some may wonder why such a "famous" photographer is staying in the worst hotel room ever and shooting potential models with a camera smaller than most junior high students have, it could very well be that Jimmy's star has fallen fast and his fifteen minutes are actually up. I think better editing could make a world of difference here.

This short is 15 minutes long and contains no dialogue. A man is strapped to a chair, where he is treated to a very meticulous haircut and then a bloody face cut, by a man with no apparent motive or remorse. We have no idea where this is taking place or why, but the attention to detail, in both the grooming and the deforming, is frightening enough. At least his hair looks good!

Just a day in the life of a high school English teacher, as we get to peek inside of his mind and hear his true feelings about his lazy students and useless co-workers. This has the look and feel of a terrific independent film. While I love the classroom scenes and realize they are fictitious, I feel like the faculty lounge and English office scenes are probably spot on and closer to reality.

This started out a little slow, but really got going after about 30 minutes. This is a fun, unique idea and it was probably a blast for Krew Boylan, the lead actress, and everyone else involved. It was genuinely scary for a little while.

However, I can't say I liked the ending at all. It changed from an intense survival story into something weird. Definitely check it out though! The final scene makes up for the 10 minutes that precede it.

This movie is awful. It is easily one of the worst movies I will ever review on this site. The best scene is probably an ear bite, if that tells you anything.

While watching this for our movie night, we came to the conclusion that not only are most 90s horror movies way too similar to episodes of Silk Stalkings, but also that most of them will feature at least one cast member who once appeared in Silk Stalkings. We hit a match here without requiring much research, as the lead actress herself proved our theory to be true.

Well, I'll say that this movie has a lot of blood and gore and that might be enough entertainment for some people. However, I found this is to be way too long and drawn-out to the point of being boring. Throw in the fact that acting is really bad and the characters consistently make the worst possible decisions throughout the entire 90+ minutes, and you end up with a movie that I will likely never watch again. If you do check it out and like it, be sure to stick around for more after the credits.

This movie had enough tense moments to keep me interested. But there is only so much that can be done with the mountain-climbing premise. There are the expected near fall scares, but things seem to pick up when one character, the most skilled climber in the group, steps into a bear trap. What follows, however, are mostly wasted opportunities and this was not as entertaining as I thought it would be. Watch Frozen or Cold Prey instead.

This is such a great concept! Being in a grocery store after hours provides no witnesses and lots of awesome killing utensils: box crusher, meat slicer, etc. I also enjoyed some of the unique camera angles, like the shopping cart cam and the rotary phone cam.

Unfortunately, I don't know if Netflix's version is heavily censored or what, but we got totally ripped off on the gore in most of the kill scenes. Some kills aren't even shown.

Still pretty fun at times.

One of the best horror/comedies I've seen. The funny parts are actually funny and the kills are amazing. One person's eye is stabbed with a corkscrew and then shredded in a garbage disposal. While I did not like this movie as much I enjoyed the first two in the series, it is still tense and brutal enough to stand alone as a better-than-average horror film. You know by this point that the scenery will be great. However, we are taken away from the winter setting we are used to here.

More importantly, this movie is a prequel. While it isn't a perfect film, I appreciated learning more about the killer and it still contains enough scary parts to fit in with its predecessors.

If you liked the first two, definitely check this out.

I know some people have a problem with sequels and would never admit that a sequel could be as good as an original film. But in this case, if you enjoyed the original Cold Prey as much as I did, then I highly recommend this movie.

Like Halloween 2, this tense survival story is now set in a hospital. We get to watch medical professionals do their jobs and save a life... the life of the brutal killer! What follows is an extremely fun horror/thriller that literally picks up right where the first movie left off.

It's always difficult to judge a remake, and Night of the Demons is no exception. While the gore and effects easily trump the '87 version, it loses some of the original's charming cheesiness. Set design, music and makeup are all done quite well. The lipstick scene is included and done better than in the first flick. Additionally, a couple of bizarrely amusing new scenes help break up the monotony. Two problems: Scares are scarce (see what I did there?) and Edward Furlong isn't. Why bore me with your terrible acting, sir? Don't you know that Skynet is about to revolt?
